Watkins Glen and Bowman Gray

Another action packed weekend in the books! Danny Bohn, driver of the No. 30 On Point Motorsports Toyota Tundra sponsored by North American Motor Car and Rivers of Recovery, caught the attention of FOX 8 journalist Chris Weaver after his double-header race weekend this past June. Bohn raced his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Pocono Raceway in PA on the afternoon of Saturday, June 26th, then immediately jetted off to NC where he ran his Modified at Bowman Gray Stadium that evening. Bohn and Weaver connected just in time for Danny’s second double-header weekend of the season, giving Weaver the opportunity to trail along with Bohn to catch the action firsthand.

Their first stop was the North American Motor Car headquarters in Danbury, CT on Friday, August 9th. North American Motor Car recently announced they would remain the primary sponsor of the No. 30 NASCAR truck for the remainder of the season, finishing off their third year and first full season with Bohn. From there, they headed off to Watkin’s Glen International—aka “The Glen”—for the NASCAR Truck Series United Rentals 176. Bohn started off in P11 but placed 28th due to complications with the truck. The race was ultimately rained out on Saturday, ending early with 11 laps to go. After the race, Bohn and Weaver hopped on a plane and headed back down South for race number two of the day at Bowman Gray Stadium. Bohn, a Bowman Gray veteran, rounded off the evening by placing 11th in his No. 65 Modified car.
